A $25 USD entry fee, gets you the Sample Champions tournament pack that includes 20 samples from various genres. The tournament pack also includes, this rules and guidelines document, in addition to a separate contractual document, stating the winner WILL GET PAID and paid promptly after the conclusion of the battle.
The tournament winner will receive $1000 USD. There will only be one winner, per tournament. No runner ups.

User entries are verified through registered e-mail at www.FischerMusicClub.Shop. Only one unique e-mail address is allowed per entry.

*** No vocal lyrics allowed. All songs with vocal lyrics = instant elimination. Vocal chops and stabs are ok.
Try to keep submissions refined to the Golden Era Hip Hop / Boom Bap genre (no ambient lofi / no commercial rap / no electronic or experimental / no dance etc).
The rights of the submitted records will remain with the producers. SAMPLE CHAMPIONS and Fischer Music Club WILL NOT use the submitted records for any commercial release or commercial monetary gain.
Submitting to the SAMPLE CHAMPIONS tournament does give Fischer Music Club permission to use producer submissions for marketing purposes only.
The tournament will consist of up to 10 rounds, with 499 battles. The battles will be blind, head to head single elimination. (more rounds will be added if needed).
The contest will consist of single elimination, PRODUCER BLIND, JUDGE BLIND head to head battles, selected via a random numbered draw, based on the numbered submissions. Only the beats will be played. The judges will NOT know any producer names throughout the tournament. The competing producers will be referred to as “Producer 1 and Producer A” during each battle.
There will be 1-3 random judges, from different walks of life for each tournament. The only qualifying criteria for the judges, is that they are fans of classic hip hop.
THE BASELINE JUDGING CRITERIA WILL BE BASED UPON SAMPLE CREATIVITY, HEAD NOD FACTOR AND OVERALL FEEL.
The judges will be encouraged to (but not required to) provide technical feedback, per battle decision. Feedback will be optional, minus the last ten battles of the tournament.
Judging will take place over multiple hours or days, for as many days as it takes. With tournament broadcast announcements made in advance, before streaming live on Youtube and social media.
1 Winner takes all. They will receive the $1000 USD Grand Prize, plus one of one, Sample Champion, “Grand Champion” merchandise.
The tournament winner will receive a digital plaque / NFT which signifies and authorizes their official tournament win.
